Graham was in preschool again this year and loves it. He brings home lots of art, he says painting is his favorite. He also entered primary at the beginning of the year and really loves going to church. We love hearing him singing primary songs around the house. He also had a part in the primary program. Here he is reciting the 3rd Article of Faith.
Graham turned four in July and celebrated with a "big boy bike" and his first haircut. He loves robots and guns and has a fascination / terrified relationship with bugs. We think it all began with The Junebug Incident. Graham is a really wonderful big brother (except when he tries to be a scary robot to Eva!) He is also being more responsible and loves to be mommy's "Little Helper" which is a highly coveted position especially in the kitchen. One odd thing about Graham though, he doesn't want to eat the freshly baked cookies, or much of anything candyish. In fact, in Graham's perfect world he wouldn't have to stop to eat.
Evelyn turned two this past September, and she is all girl. She is talking all the time and starting to make up her own songs. She has a marked preference for pink, even as far as refusing to eat the chocolate ice cream over the strawberry kind. And on that note, she has certainly inherited her fathers sweet tooth! All little things need her mothering and she often uses mommy's dish towels as blankets for her sleeping brood. Eva tries so hard to keep up with her big brother but she is destined to be very tall judging by her feet (she has grown from a size 5 shoe to nearly a 9 this year!) and she hasn't quite mastered the balance thing. Eva is beautiful and soft, daddy's princess.
Here is a clip of Graham and Eva singing a Family Home Evening favorite. It demonstrates a little of Eva's aforementioned goofiness. These two are so much fun!
We welcomed our newest addition in August: William Warren Ragsdale. He is a delight! He came half grown at 10 lbs 7 oz and now at five months is 17 lbs. He is all smiles and "silent laughs". He loves to snuggle, especially with mommy in her bed. He also gets really excited when he sees Uncle Bo. Little Will loves it when his big brother and sister include him in their games and willingly takes the sometimes abrasive loving from his other mother (aka Eva). We are all gaga over him and daddy is proud that William seems to have a few more Ragsdale characteristics then the other two! Perhaps it's being the third child or maybe he is just wonderful this way, but Will is so happy! And he LOVES be upside down.
Lee is almost done with medical school! This fourth year has been pretty nice schedule-wise. He has been interviewing at anesthesia residency programs all over since November; from Virginia to Texas! We have our fingers crosses for certain programs and we'll know for sure in March. Stay tuned! It's wonderful to witness the Lords's hand in our lives. Lee graduates in May and the we're off somewhere new for at least the next 4 years. Estee is so dang proud of her hubby!
Lee is serving in the scouting program in church and he has a great time planning cool activities for these young boys. He still loves riding his bicycle and goes out whenever he gets a chance. He is also developing his photography talent. If he' not looking at bike stuff he's checking out the newest lenses online.
Estee is always juggling several projects in out poor little apartment so she is looking forward to having a little more space when we move (and especially with a back yard!) In Lee's words, she's "made lots of stuff." Estee and her mom have been selling their hand crafted goods at a little vintage shop and have plans to expand into online selling. She is also been hired a few times as a doula (labor coach) and has a passion for all things birth. Estee was released as the Young Women's president when William came and then called as the Relief Society pianist! She would argue that this calling is more of a challenge then the presidency calling. Thank goodness for the simplified hymns. Estee is learning how to be a mommy to three and loves it!
We send all our love and good wishes for this new year, may yours be blessed!
Cute videos! Austin loved watching them. Especially when they were singing. I'm so impressed Graham knows his articles of faith!
